Solutions of generalized simple wave type of magnetic fluid

The method of differential constraints is applied to the one-dimensional magnetogasdynamics equations of an ideal perfect polytropic gas. The generalized simple waves are studied. The subsequent class of solutions reduces to integrating a system of ordinary differential equations. The general solution of the compatibility conditions for the existence of the generalised simple waves is obtained and two classes of the generalised simple waves are derived. (c) 2021 Elsevier B.V.
