One month into his new job, Raj Nair greeted AEI for an interview at his Dearborn office. He'd just come from a meeting with Ford's design group, and pinned to his lapel was a large button proclaiming, "I [heart symbol] Ford Engineers!" The word 'engineers' mimicked a child's scribble, and a few of the letters were backwards. "Can you guess who gave me this button?" Nair said with a chuckle. "Pretty funny, eh? Those design guys like to poke fun at us engineers, and we do the same with them. But our working relationship is excellent."
