PEO Council recently completed Phase 2 of the four-phase Governance Roadmap work-plan. Phase 2 focused on PEO committees and improving their structures and mandates. As part of this phase. Council formally approved the implementation of four new board (governance) committees: Regulatory Policy and Legislation, Audit and Finance, Human Resources and Compensation and Governance and Nominating. At the same time, several other PEO committees were formally stood down, while others will be phased out over time. Additionally, the responsibility for stewardship of the Governance Roadmap was transferred from the Executive Committee to the new Governance and Nominating Committee (see "Council approves establishment of new governance committees," Engineering Dimensions, May/June 2021, p. 20).
