Drug Development for Neurodegenerative Diseases, a 2-day conference organized by marcus evans, covered the ongoing studies in this area of research, the market for which is expected to increase in the next few decades because of the increase in the aging population. At this event, phase III clinical trials to prove the efficacy of both symptomatic and disease-modifying drugs, the utilization of alternative trial models to decrease time-to-market and financial outlay, and novel techniques in imaging and animal models were discussed.
