Kangaroo Valley - land of the ornamentals

Kangaroo Valley is located on the Coast to Tablelands Road linking Nowra to Moss Vale in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, and is about two and a half hours drive from Sydney via Berry or Nowra. My first trip was in 1972 when I scrambled down the hillside to reach a major gravel bed on a bend in the Kangaroo River, a short distance upstream of the Hampden Bridge.
