Those of you who enjoyed our feature A Scrapbook of World War Two Aircraft, in the November issue, may be interested to learn that a book based around this archive material is now available. Put together by author Michael F Holt, it is titled A Scrapbook of World War 2 Warplanes and is available via Amazon in digital, hard- and soft-cover formats. The Carolinas Aviation Museum is hoping to reopen in 2023 at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, following a $1.5m funding boost courtesy of locally-based technology company Honeywell. The North Carolina attraction is an educational establishment that will house dozens of aircraft, alongside exhibits such as interactive cockpits, flight simulators and historic artefacts related to the region's aviation history.
