In a salute to the RAF's No.1 Squadron and Battle of Britain pilot Arthur Clowes, the Hawker Hurricane Clowes Automatic has been designed as a commanding watch to honour the unit's wartime accomplishments. The Clowes Automatic is defined by a 46mm case inspired by larger pilot watches from the 1940s. The watch features a distinctive conical crown and is topped by a domed, sapphire lens. The case back features the No.l Squadron badge. Despite appearing as a traditional pilot's watch at first glance, it also features a dial with camo pattern drawn directly from Clowes' Hawker Hurricane, topped with custom 3D indexes providing ideal glow in low-light conditions. The squadron motto In omnibus princeps (First in all things) is written at the bottom of the dial, to reflect the unit's pioneering status.
