Shima Seiki USA, a subsidiary of the Japanese flat knitting machine manufacturer Shima Seiki, is closing its Monroe facility in New Jersey and is relocating its US headquarters to Los Angeles in California. That said, the company is looking for a new facility in New Jersey in order to continue servicing its customers on the east coast. Shima Seiki USA first opened its New Jersey offices in 1986 and since then it has witnessed the introduction of Wholegarment technology, has helped US-based knitters to reshore production and has hosted numerous webinars and sample showcases at the site.
