As we head towards 2023, it's imperative that the engineering sector continues to increase awareness of and respond to societal and environmental challenges. From inflation and economic downturn to sustainability, humanity faces pressing issues that will impact our health, cities, energy, and water systems - to name just a few areas. The engineering industry needs to lead from the front when it comes to reimagining the future. We need to quickly change the way products are designed and made to imagine new sustainable innovations that address the challenges the world faces today. This will involve developing innovative products and services quickly and reliably, whilst adopting new business models, which sustainably address rapidly changing market demands. This shift should be underpinned by workforce evolution, which addresses the skills gaps and working practices for people in business.
