Multicriterial Assessment of Bus Performance

Decision making regarding bus operation sometimes calls for information regarding factors that are unknown at the design stage or undetermined environmental factors that appear at various stages of bus operation. Such factors may include stricter comfort standards or safety and environmental standards, requiring timely changes in bus operation. The influence of the environment on bus operation may be assessed on the basis of the efficiency factor. Therefore, there is a pressing practical need for methods of determining the efficiency factor of buses in specific operating conditions. The proposed model for determining the efficiency factor takes account of the reliability, safety and environmental requirements, and operating costs.
