BONAH (Beaut Organic Nice And Healthy) owner/founder, Nathan Billing, says he firmly believes that direct and online marketing is the key to providing more affordable organic meat to consumers and delivering a better return to farmers. Billing (whosefamily has produced organic lamb, beef, pork and grains in Griffith, NSW, for the past 20 years), is concerned that unfair pricing systems are harming Australia's organic meat industry. "The people at the top end get most of the premium while the farmers miss out," he says. "Then, when it gets too difficult for the farmers to maintain the quality product, consumers turn away."
