The growing knowledge of MC's marine pedigree and client-centric culture has seen the company win recognition in WA's resources sector. One difficult job that required the employment of all of MC's intellectual resources was the design and construction of a jetty at Wyndham, Kimberley. Undertaken with the assistance of South Australian engineering outfit Aztec Analysis, remoteness was the first and foremost consideration. Project manager Imran Lambay recalls that just getting there from Adelaide tooktwo days, although planning the job started long before. Logistics were everything there. Every molecule of the project, down to spare nuts and bolts, had to be taken to the site, and materials had to be ordered well in advance. Every capital city supplied something, from piles from Perth, to fendering from Melbourne.
