Qualitative research and AAC: strong methods and new topics.

摘要

This is the second special issue of AAC devoted to qualitative research and again demonstrates the particular strength and value of qualitative methods in exploring areas that are new or under researched. The papers included in this issue focus on topics that have so far received little attention within the field of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). In order to promote interest and further understanding of qualitative research authors provided detailed descriptions of the methods used, to facilitate the development of a greater understanding of the range of methodologies that fit under the qualitative umbrella and to introduce new methods that have relevance to the field.
