Set up in 2020 under the Car. Software Organisation banner, CarIAD is an essential of the group's New Auto corporate strategy, which will see VW transform itself from a vehicle manufacturer into a software-driven mobility provider by 2030. Supported by the new VW.OS operating system and the Volkswagen Automotive Cloud (VW.AC), it will innovate parts of the group's business model, helping it to tap into new profit pools.
