Breakthroughs in digital test technology are augmenting development in exciting ways while ensuring a high level of computational prowess. Simcenter Madymo has been crowned Crash Test Innovation of the Year in this year's ATTI Awards (see more on page 22). Through these globally recognized awards, ATTI has been honoring innovation in automotive development since 2006. This accolade is an acknowledgement by the industry of the innovative developments that have featured in the recent releases of Simcenter Madymo. Simcenter Madymo is a simulation software used for analyzing safety-related events. The software package includes a complete range of validated human body and dummy models and applications to assess the safety of vehicle occupants and vulnerable road users. The software primarily employs multibody (MB) dynamics to model and simulate pertinent scenarios in transportation safety, but also allows creation of finite element (FE) models and gas flow simulations.
