摘要

To say that the pandemic has "disrupted life and commerce globally would be stating the obvious," says S.N. Subrahmanyan, managing director and CEO of the contracting firm Larsen & Toubro Ltd. Yet revenue and list rankings from this year's Top 250 International Contractors and Top 225 International Design Firms add greater perspective to the international conversation on how to drive global economic recovery. Last year's pandemic-induced lockdowns, which disrupted some projects, slowed many global markets to the point of contraction. Global firms reported decreased revenue as a result. This year's Top 225 shows several design firms dropped in rank and a few others rose to the top for the first time in several years. WSP Global Inc. is ranked No. 1, a position that the Montreal-based engineer has not held since 2017. The company increased revenue from $4.57 billion on last year's list to $4.71 billion this year, based on 2020 revenue.
