Opec has warned of "signiocant uncertainty and deteriorating macroeconomic conditions" which have prompted it to lower its oil demand outlook for 2022 and 2023. In its latest Monthly Oil Market Report, the producer group spoke of "intensifying challenges, including high inùation levels, tightening monetary policies by major central banks, rising interest rates and persisting supply chain issues. " It also cited ongoing geopolitical risk and the potential impact of a new wave of Covid-19 infections during the northern hemisphere's winter.
