I congratulate the group from Fox Chase and the Philadelphia-area consortium for examining the impact of COVID on their prostate biopsy and radical prostatectomy volumes during the pandemic. The main finding was a rather dramatic decline in prostate care due to the lockdown and practice disruptions. This is a timely topic: as of July 25,2021 there were 58 publications in PubMed? on the topic of "COVID impact on prostate cancer." We see the same problem in North Carolina (reference 11 in article). Most recently, Bernstein et al reported a dramatic decline in radical prostatectomy rates during COVID disproportionately affecting African American men.1
