We all know that the metric system was developed to standardize measurement first in France but also in the entire world. Visionaries understood that people of the world needed to communicate, and a common measurement language would aid in trade and commerce. International scholars, scientists and engineers, industry leaders, and politicians forged a measurement language that was understandable to every citizen on the planet in order to assure the safety, compatibility, and interoperability of products and services used by most every citizen of the planet today.
