The saga of the cattle continues at the previous article's same runaway pace! Week 14: Away working all week and no phone calls — hooray! I am once more a happy cattle owner. Week 15: Get call at 10.00 pm on Friday night to say that my cattle were briefly in Line's crop (another neighbour), but are now in the one opposite my gate, across the highway. Strangely he doesn't seem too upset. I tell him I will be out first thing tomorrow — Saturday — sigh! Drop all of the other important jobs at home (like pruning the sauvignon blanc, which is now getting quite urgent) to go out and retrieve cattle. Replace small spare tyre on Subaru with the larger repaired one, but forget to bring back some new wheel nuts. Car seems to behave somewhat strangely at speed, but maybe it just needs a full complement of nuts on each wheel?
