The caption to the photograph on page 88 of your December issue, showing HM Queen Elizabeth Ⅱ "in conversation with businessmen in front of a model of Concorde" during her 1966 visit to Filton, did not include their names. They were actually rather a distinguished trio. On the left was Sir George Edwards, Executive Director of BAC and a notable aeronautical engineer. With him is Viscount Portal of Hungerford, Chairman of BAC and formerly Marshal of the Royal Air Force, and speaking to Her Majesty with his back to the camera would appear to be Archibald Russell (later Sir Archibald), the brilliant head of the British side of the Concorde project. Quite a gathering!
