This richly illustrated volume is the outcome of an international collaboration between the William Morris Gallery in London; the National Museum in Krakow; and the Polish Cultural Institute in London. The book 'charts the rich history of the Polish Arts and Crafts movement, placing it at the centre of the pan-European design reform phenomenon' (p. 12). It is structured around seventeen chapters, divided between two sections. The first of these introduces 'key people, places and ideas,' while the second focuses on 'objects and craft practices' set within a disciplinary trajectory. The sections are prefaced by a brief historical introduction and the editors' methodological outline of the project.
