Supply in the North American MDI market is reported to be good,and more imports continue to arrive in the region from Asia.Asian demand has not fully recovered following the Covid lockdowns in China this year,and domestic producers are reported to be targeting North American and European buyers in order to improve margins.Inventory levels in Asia have been high but the situation changed in September when demand improved slightly.The European MDI market remains quiet.Supply is available and demand is stable to low.There were concerns of potential energy surcharges being added on prices in October,but the current market situation led to stable prices.Demand is reported to have seen some activity,but markets are cooling down.Construction is heading towards the traditional off-season during the cold months and this sector has already started to slow.
