The reason why these twoare often compared is the great advance Europe has made in the art ofbonsai in a relatively short time, compared to the longer time Americanshave been creating bonsai. The question often asked is how is it possiblethat in a short time span Europe produced such great artists and worldclass bonsai, while America, having alonger history in bonsai art, seems tolag years behind.
