The nose section of former Spanish Air Force CASA C-212 Aviocar T.12B-24/37-07 has been preserved and will be shown as a touring static exhibit at airshows. The Ala 37 machine was flying between Zagreb and Split in Croatia on March 8,1994, during Operation Deny Flight, when it was hit by a Serbian missile. Despite suffering damage to the rear fuselage, tail, control surfaces and left engine, the crew managed to land at Rijeka - the three wounded on board were evacuated. After repair, the aircraft was reassigned to CLAEX (Arms Logistics and Experimentation Centre) in Torrejon, Spain, until 2006, when it was withdrawn from service. It was then flown to Cuatro Vientos, Madrid, where it was kept in open storage until 2020. Personnel from Ala 35 then recovered the machine and prepared it for static display.
