The Forest Service unlawfully approved a restoration project in Hoosier National Forest that will have serious negative impactson the Lake Monroe watershed, an Indiana county and three environmental groups alleged in a new federal lawsuit.The project—which consists of commercial logging, road building, herbicide application, prescribed burning, and trailimprovements—will increase the risk of streambank erosion and pollution of the watershed, which already suffers fromdegraded water quality, according to the suit filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.
