Neea Buxifolia

In Puerto Rico as in other areas of the world we have many native trees and plants with good potential for bonsai. The Neea Buxifolia is becoming one of the best and most important of our native plants suitable to create beautiful bonsai. So we have developed good techniques for training this plant. The Neea is collected in the wild zones of the island. The popular common spelling is "Nia" and its pronunciation is the same as the other. Our bonsai friends who grow Neea, especially in Florida, are obtaining good results. I wish to share my personal experiences for the benefit of others who are interested in Neea.
