摘要

Field experiments were conducted to determine the efficacy of new insecticides viz., Pegasus 50 WP (diafenthiuron) @ 400, 500, 600 g; Actara 25 WG (thiamethoxam) @ 100, 150, 200 g and Malathion 50 EC (malathion) @ 625 ml per hectare along with untreated control against whitefly and jassid infesting brinjal at Research Station, Punjab Agricultural University, Gurdaspur during 2017 and 2018. It was found that new insecticides namely, Actara 25 WG (thiamethoxam) and Pegasus 50 WP (diafenthiuron) were effective in bringing down the population of whitefly, Bemisia tabaci and jassid, Amrasca biguttula biguttula at all the dozes tested. The Actara 25 WG (200 g/ha) was found significantly most effective and caused maximum per cent population reduction of whitefly and jassid @ 76.93 and 82.88 %, respectively followed by Pegasus 50 WP (600 g/ha), which caused population reduction of 75.66 % in whitefly and jassid 79.75% in jassids. Highest fruit yield (304.43 quintals/ha), net profit (Rs.56590.80) and C:B ratio (1:55.52) were achieved in the treatment of Actara 25 WG (200 g/ha) followed by Pegasus 50 WP (600 g/ ha). The tested insecticides were found safer to natural enemies of insect pests of brinjal crop. Insecticides did not show any phytotoxic effect onbrinjal.
