The Helicopter Museum at Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, has two new acquisitions, a Bristol Belvedere tandem rotor and an AgustaWestland EH101. Belvedere XG454 was officially transferred from the RAF Museum (RAFM) some time ago, but finally arrived at its new home on January 21. The aircraft, which was built at Weston-super-Mare in I960, is now on show under cover. One of only three surviving Belvederes, XG454 crashed and was rebuilt twice before finally being flown to RAF Abingdon in 1968 for the Queen's Review of the Royal Air Force. It then entered RAFM storage at Henlow, before going on display at Manchester's Museum of Science and Industry. The Belvedere joins incomplete fifth prototype XG452 and the nose section of XG462 at The Helicopter Museum.
