摘要

Thermoelectrics can be a useful technology for energy saving and also for dynamically harvesting energy from the surroundings to power myriad IoT applications. We have found that magnetism can be utilized to enhance the thermoelectric power factor, and we have developed various viable magnetic thermoelectric materials. Enhancement has been achieved via magnon drag, paramagnon drag, and spin fluctuation, which will be reviewed. We have also performed simulations to design a planar-type thermoelectric device with ultra-high-performance magnetic Heusler thermoelectric film on a Si substrate.
