ONE of the earliest surviving tractors manufactured in Australia has been acquired by the National Museum of Australia in Canberra.The significant transformation of Australia's agricultural industry is represented by the extraordinary McDonald 'Imperial' oil 'EB' tractor, which went on display in the Museum's Gandel Atrium on May 19.The tractor, built in 1912, substantially adds to the Museum's National Historical Collection and supports its mission to tell remarkable stories from Australian history.
