Master saburo kato's creative bonsai solo exhibition

Even though months have passed since attending grand master Saburo Kato's Solo Exhibition, it remains on my mind. It was beautiful, poetic, natural, creative, imaginative, powerful, sensitive, inspirational and artistic; in other words absolutely fantastic! How privileged I felt to be there with my son Alex and to share this experience. Both Alex and I had been students of Master Kato. Saburo Kato, who is now 91 years old, titled his exhibition "Creative Bonsai Solo Exhibition." It was held trom the10* to 12th November 2006 at the Ueno Green Club in Tokyo. At the opening ceremony and reception held on the night of the 10th Master Kato talked about his aim in holding this exhibition, together with the purpose of his new book Challenging Creative Bonsai, in Japanese the title is Sosaku Bonsai ni idomu.
