New Fortress Energy is still working to secure permits neededfrom the Mexican government for the developer’s proposed LNGexport terminal in northern Mexico that it expects to deploy thisyear, the company said in a US securities filing April 5.New Fortress also needs to finalize agreements with Mexicanstatute utility CFE tied to the project, a floating LNG hub usingnatural gas imported from the US into Altamira, Tamualipas state.New Fortress struck previous agreements with CFE in late 2022that are subject to “finalizing long-form definitive agreementsand satisfying certain conditions precedent,” according to thefiling, an annual 10-K annual report filed with the US Securitiesand Exchange Commission.
