MANUFACTURING JUTE COMPOSITES 'POSSIBILITIES AND HURDLES'

An attempt has been made to briefly present the scope of jute fibers as reinforcement in fiber reinforced composites. Jute fiber properties have been briefly mentioned. The methods of manufacturing jute composites have been explained briefly. This paper also tries to present the various possibilities and hurdles in the manufacturing of these composites and also the commercial possibilities as well as the hurdles.
