The results of the USMA Metric Science Fair Awards for the 2022–2023 season are in, and there are some interesting developments. This year, there was a change in procedure by Science for Society, which coordinates the USMA Metric Science Fair Award process with state and local Science Fairs that directly distribute student awards. As a result, there was some confusion as to how fair organizers were to get the awards template needed to generate the winning student awards. We can now report that 243 students were given USMA metric awards at 176 Science Fairs across the country.
