The development Palaeoastronomy in Russia before the conference 'Palaeoastronomy: Sky and Mankind' (1992-1997)

Key points are presented from the round table discussion (RTD) at the conference 'Palaeoastronomy: Sky and Mankind' concerning recent developments in the study of ancient astronomy in Russia. They are compared with early developments in Poland in early Cultural Astronomy.
