Diurnal solar flux distribution in a deep water reservoir

The spectral and directional nature of the incident solar radiation is used with spectral properties of the water and the atmosphere to examine the general behavior of the diurnal total solar flux distribution in a deep water reservoir. Simple algebraic expressions that are useful for approximating the behavior of the diurnal total solar flux and its divergence are presented.
