Black Sea grain exports stalled as Russia blocks initiative – Ukrainian government

The functioning of a Black Sea corridor to export grain and other foodstuffs from Ukraine is at a standstill after Russia refused to register new incoming vessels, according to the Ukrainian reconstruction ministry. On Monday (8 May), Kyiv said Russian officials at the Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) in Istanbul, a body overseeing the implementation of the Black Sea grain deal, have, once again, "effectively stopped" the initiative.
