8 June.JM Huber said it had acquired the alumina trihydrate (ATH) business of AluChem,a manufacturer of chemical grade alumina products.No purchase price was given.Huber said the acquisition strengthened Huber Engineered Material's (HEM's) position in ATH in North America and improved its cost structure,and added 'significant capacity' to HEM's ATH manu facturing facilities.
