Applications of different nonwoven fabrics in recent times

The detailed history, current status and future prospectus about the nonwoven technology have been covered in the previous article. This paper includes various applications of nonwoven fabrics in today's market. The first type of nonwoven available in the market was the woollen felt. This can be regarded as the nature's technology of developing a fabric which was different than the weaving and knitting technology. The same technology was studied and developed to manufacture varieties of nonwoven fabrics. These nonwoven fabrics today have replaced many of the areas of applications of woven and knitted fabrics due to their number of benefits over them. These benefits include defined engineering, cost effectiveness, light weight, environmental sustainability and many more. The detailed areas of applications as per recent market trend have been covered in this article.
