US demand brightens Q4 rubber

DESPITE LACKLUSTRE Asian demand,styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) and polyb-utadiene rubber (BR) producers are confident of a robust fourth quarter.The optimism is a result of hurricanes Katrina and Rita that have left the US short of material.Three US producers,ISP Elastomers,Lanxess,and Bridgestone have declared force majeure as the hurricanes forced them to shut down their respective plants.
