Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) is a one of the major oil seed crops in the world. United States of America is the world’s largest soybean producer and Brazil, Argentina, China and India are other top soybean producers. Yellow Mosaic Disease (YMD)of soybean caused by Mungbean Yellow Mosaic India Virus (MYMIV) is one of the serious diseases affecting the productivity of the crop. It is transmitted by whitefly (Bemisia tabaci/ In the screening experiment, thirty-six genotypes of soybean includingone check (JS-335) were evaluated against yellow mosaic disease in the field as well as glasshouse conditions during year 2017 and 2018. The irregular bright yellow and green diffused patches on leaves, extensive mosaic and mottling of leaves, puckeringand raised green areas on leaves, chlorosis and reduction in leaf size were characteristic symptoms of YMD of soybean. The five genotypes viz., PS-1589, DS-3105, SL-1104, KDS-921 and SL-1113 were found to be immune/ absolutely or highly resistant to theYMD of soybean while eight genotypes expressed resistant response to this disease..
