Chromosome mapping of the human gene encoding the 230-kDal autoantigen of an autoimmune skin disease, bullous pemphigoid, was performed using flow-sorted human chromosomes of cells of normal karyotype and cells carrying a reciprocal translocation t(6;16)(q15;q24).
