Increase of Saudi Hadeed's Production by 5.5 percent and the company targets 3.9 million tons of sales in 2005

Production of Saudi Iron and Steel Company (Hadeed) amounted to 1.91 million tons of finished products during the first half of 2005, up by 5.5 percent compared to the first half of 2004 during which production amounted to 1.81 million tons. According to the figures Arab Steel obtained from the company's sources, flat products have seen the greatest increase, i.e., 9.4 percent to reach 535 thousand tons in the first half of this year against 489 thousand tons in the same period of 2004. The company's production of long products amounted to 1.377 million tons, up by 4 percent compared to 1.32 million tons in the first half of 2004.
