Indian steelmaker secures iron ore licences in Africa

Jindal Steel St Power Ltd (JSPL) has secured iron ore exploration licences in Africa, "not only for a captive supply of ore but also for trading," according to a source at the Indian steel company. The source confirmed that JSPL had secured three licences - in Mauritania, Namibia and South Africa - and two others, in Gabon and Sierra Leone, were underway.
