Development of Pipes and Tubes Production and Prospects of their Consumption in Arab Countries

The First Arab Tubes 2005 Conference was held in Damascus, Syria, in the period 6-8 June 2005. This conference was organised by the Arab iron and Steel Union under the patronage of the Prime Minister, Eng. Mohammad Naji Otri. This conference was attended by more than 90 delegates of the companies involved in production of Steel pipes, steel flat products producers, raw materials and pips accessories manufacturers, oi and gas companies, machinery and plants manufacturers for producing pipes, some trading companies, construction and engineering companies, machines manufacturers, and other industries concerned with pipes and tubes. The participating companies were fifty companies from 15 Arab countries and foreign countries. This conference was associated with the First Arab Tubes 2005 Exhibition in which eight companies specialized in the pipes and tunes industry and companies manufacturing materials employed in the pipes and tubes industry have participated.
