Global manganese market overheated

The prices increase has slowed down in some segments in October and spedup in the others. Manganese ore prices have got another 17 more expensivedepending on supplier and specification. Since August, the material cost hasgot 120 higher. Prices for December shipments are quoted to the Chinese at$7?8/dmtu, whereas domestic quotations have reached $10/dmtu back in earlyOctober. There are certain reasons for the price increase, but the market is stillspeculatively overheated, so the quotes may roll back.
