However,demad has got somewhat softer by the end of September, and prices havelost RMB 1?2/dmtu. Nonetheless, global suppliers have taken advantage of thesituation. South32 has raised October prices for Autralian ore (45.5 Mn) to$6.85/dmtu CIF China in two stages and those for South African material (37.5Mn) – to $5.75/dmtu CIF China. France’s Eramet sticks to a similar policy, andso did South Africa’s UMK last month.
