Despite the speculative upturn in Asia, manganese alloy prices have stabilizedin Europe with the end of the Q1 contracting. At the time of publicationof this report, SiMn (65 Mn; 17 Si) has been available at EUR 1,017/t DDP(EUR 1,014/t DDP the month before) and HC FeMn (75 Mn) – at EUR 1,123/tDDP (EUR 1,117/t DDP). By the end of the month, nominal prices for SiMn havereached EUR 1,030?1,050/t DDP, but deals have hardly been made before theholidays.
