Indian manganese alloys prevail in Iranian imports

Prices for import SiMn (65 Mn; 16 Si) have risen by $10/t to $1,200?1,240/tCIF in Iran this month, while those for HC FeMn (75 Mn) have remained at$1,225?1,240/t CIF.By Metal Expert’s estimate, manganese alloy consumption rose by 15year-on-year in Q1-Q3, peaking in Q2: Iranian steelmakers used to producesome 4.6 million t quarterly before and 5.3 million t quarterly after. Theoutput will be stable in Q4, and so will be the estimated consumption –23,000 t of SiMn and 31,000?32,000 t of FeMn per quarter.
